My world is becoming increasingly more surrounded by media, technology and gadgets. Living in the 21st century media is everywhere we go, it intrudes our homes and emerges our subconscious.
I like many of my friends own a Blackberry Curve, which my life admittedly is centred around. It has everything I need for my world to function, I have my phone to ring arrange to meet, ask questions or even have a catch up with my contacts, I can send them texts if a phone call is not an option and even connect instantly messaging with my fellow blackberry usage, My social network is there too so I can connect with my friends on Facebook and Twitter updating to my followers and friends of what I’m doing currently, something interesting I have seen or been a part of. The wonders of my astounding phone do not just stop there the blackberry is equipped with a camera to take photos or video record something, it has full internet usage and even Microsoft Word if I need to write a piece of work if I am not able to get to my normal computer. I currently use the mass storage on my phone and use it like an Ipod storing all of my favourite songs just a button away so when I’m out I’m never away from my favourite music. If I was to get an upgrade I would stick to having a Blackberry I would upgrade to the new Bold or even the brand new out Blackberry Torch.
The film industry is growing and there is now a lot of different platforms that I can view films on TV, and in cinemas but now I can view films write here on my computer screen and phone websites are now around so you can view any film you wish and massive e-libraries storing copy’s of films are there for the general public to view. I myself spend a lot of time on the computer and take full use of all the viewing of moving image productions there are on the internet. I use such services and BBC I Player and also 4 od which allow you to view for free the programmes that have been aired on the BBC and Chanel 4. I use the internet normally to look for new clothes, watch TV and connect with my friends. I do all of this on my slim Ergo computer.
I like the rest of teenagers own and Xbox which allows the player to escape from their real lives and play in a professional football game or immerse themselves in war like situations such as games like Fifa and Call of Duty. There is a service which I would like to make use of in the future called Xbox Live in which you can play against your friends on games of your choice.
In the future I would love to have a mobile phone which has everything needed on it where it does everything a smart phone does now but do stuff like project films onto screens, your car and house keys built in ect.
